Wrap wing pads have wide wings to reduce leakage onto clothing. Tabwing pads have narrower wings and are trimmer to wear.
The most popular pad lengths for moderate flow are 25cm and 28cm. However some people like longer pads up to 33cm for a more secure feeling or for smoother lines under snug fitting clothing.
Absorbency
Pads for moderate flow are generally made with two layers of hemp/organic cotton.
waterproofing
Many people choose a complete layer of concealed PUL for waterproofing in pads with moderate absorbency.
Others find that a polar fleece backing for the pad is sufficient for moisture resistance and it is also more breathable.
Fabrics
Select fabrics for the top of the pad (against your body) and the bottom (against your underwear). There is a comprehensive discussion of the different fabrics within my Cloth Pad FAQ.
Upper surface: Bamboo velour, cotton velour, Flannelette, minkee, corduroy
Lower surface: Polar fleece (plain, pattern), cotton print
